Worktop Oil instructions
It is important that both wood and oil have a temperature of min. 59°F (preferably around 68°F) and air humidity of approx. 50 %. Make sure that the room is well-ventilated for optimal evaporation and drying time.
Always remember to test on a less visible spot to check the compatibility of the surface with the product.

- Sand old and previously treated surfaces with GRIT 180 sandpaper. Vacuum clean the surface thoroughly.
- Thoroughly clean the surface with Intensive Wood Cleaner Spray. Then wipe surface with plain water. After cleaning, leave the surface to dry for at least 8-9 hours
- Stir the Oil carefully before and during use. Container with different batch numbers should be mixed before use to avoid differences in shade and gloss.
- Use a paintbrush to distribute an appropriate amount of oil in an even, covering coat. If possible, the reverse side of the work surface should also be given a coat of oil.
- Wait approx. 30 minutes at 68°F, while the oil soaks into the wood. Apply more oil if dry areas appear.
- Polish with a White 3M pad in the direction of the wood grain. This will make the surface more durable. Then wipe off all excess oil with a WOCA Polishing Cloth. No excess oil should remain on the surface.
- Allow the surface to rest for an hour and repeat steps 3 to 7.
- The surface should be treated two or three times before use. For the final treatment sand in wet oil with 320-400, before wiping off with a WOCA Polishing Cloth
Wood humidity must not exceed 18%. High temperature and low air humidity will reduce drying times. Low temperature and high air humidity will extend drying times.
The wood surface should be maintained at least once a year, or when necessary.
